Our import export course teaches you how to move goods to and from any country in the world under WTO rules. Should there be a no-deal Brexit, the United Kingdom will have to trade with the EU under WTO rules. The international trade process is the same no matter what country you’re based in.
We teach you correct export operations management with practical, real-world lessons. We don’t waste your time teaching unnecessary logistical theory as you’ll never use it your day-to-day work but streamline our export import training.
Our course gets to the point; how to import and export. We cut out all the theory, fillers and padding, instead streamlining the process of how to move your goods from source to destination, taught by experts with over 35 years experience in the export industry.
Other import and export courses charge you per subject, for example, customs procedures,
Incoterms 2010 and letters of credit, taught and charged separately potentially costing you thousands. Our course is an “all in one”, complete import export education and covers all the subject matter you need to know to trade internationally.
We don’t waste your time or money.
Unfortunately, many start their international career in global trade by taking unnecessary risks which quickly lead to failure. Cash flow is king and you must understand methods of payments for your goods, how to clear them through customs and make sure your goods are received as expected, whilst controlling your costs and profit margins.
We teach you how to minimise your financial risks and maximise your profits with the proper level of study, by addressing key areas such as your terms of delivery,
freight costs, insurance and proven negotiation techniques, giving you import export business training and strong business support. You’ll become a proactive international trader not reactive, foreseeing problems, understanding the issues and how to solve them.
Voted “Best Trade Education Provider” by
Trade Finance Global in 2017, our course is not just an introduction of import and export but in-depth, streamlined international trade training, developed by Alan Bracken who has been in the logistics world for over 30 years, owned his own freight forwarding company and been a guest speaker at many import export training seminars, so understands the practical issues you’ll face. Many other international trade courses are taught by lecturers that are qualified but never gained the commercial experience and professional development, lacking the real-world, full knowledge of importing and exporting.
Learning information about the theory of
import export in foreign trade training is something you’ll never use in the day to day running of your import export business. Knowing how to keep your cash flow positive and what problems to expect when trading internationally is what will save time, stress and money.
No matter what country you’re based in, our distance learning import export course will teach you how to source products and move them to their destination, anywhere in the world, giving you the confidence and qualification you need to build a successful international career.

What is the difference between ABTS Training’s course and other international trade courses?
Simply put, other import and export training courses online are taught by teachers that haven’t the real-word, practical experience of importing and exporting. They teach much of the theory and how it “should work”.
Our course has been developed by Alan Bracken BA who ran his own freight forwarding company for many years and learnt how to import and export in the real-world with “hands on” experience. He learned the hard way, what the major pitfalls of importing and exporting are and ultimately, how not to lose money and be profitable and spent many years as an in house trainer for companies worldwide, universities across Europe and the UN. This is what you’ll learn with our export import management course.
